There are two distinct bodies of Rubenstein writing at Carlyle. (1) 'From David's Desk', his newsletter, at carlyle.com/from-davids-desk-archive. (2) The Letter to Shareholders in Carlyle's Annual Review, which for the years Rubenstein was Co-CEO (Carlyle went public in May 2012; he handed over the CEO role at the end of 2017) is signed jointly by the three founders - Rubenstein, William Conway and Daniel D'Aniello - and is headed 'A Letter from the Founders'. Those PDFs live at carlyle.com/sites/default/files/annual-report/, while the modern reports live at carlyle.com/investor-relations/annual-report-<year> and are filed with the SEC as ARS exhibits. From the 2018 report on, the shareholder letter is signed by the CEO (Kewsong Lee, then Harvey Schwartz) and is not Rubenstein's, so those years are excluded.
