  1. Search groups its results by kind: people, companies, geographies, subjects, topics, books, funds, fund letters and papers.
  2. The Books table lists who recommended each book by name, and the browser tab names the section you are in.
  3. Feedback can take a screenshot of the page, or one you paste or choose, and opens in the corner beside Updates.
  4. Each rail button reopens its section where you left it, and Browse, Table and People show on every book and subject page.
  5. Filters grey out choices that hold nothing instead of hiding them, and Books › People filters by authors or recommenders.
  6. Feedback takes a subject line and up to three screenshots.
  7. Biographies are grouped by the person they are about: 41 new pages, from Abraham Lincoln to Lee Kuan Yew.
  8. Sport splits into 23 sports, and Religion into one topic per faith.
  9. Book lists show as cards: the cover, one recommendation quote and every recommender by name.
  10. Seventeen subjects that had two or three pages under different names now have one page each.
  11. Every page lists its Experts as authors and recommenders, with a link to them on the Experts tab.
  12. Economics, Financial history, Financial panics and Accounting are subjects of their own, with one page per financial crisis.
  13. Book, person and subject pages open inside the app, so the tabs stay in view.
  14. 996 more book covers, and photographs or logos for 227 more people and companies.
  15. Books › Browse shows every subject as cards, and the rail holds Fund letters, Papers, Experts, Books and Funds.
  16. Every topic over 150 books splits into narrower topics, each with a page of its own.

Norbert Wiener · 1948
Pedro Domingos · 2015
The five tribes of machine learning explained for non-specialists
“Pedro Domingos's overview of the five tribes of machine learning is one Altman has mentioned as a useful map for non-specialists. It argues for a unified learning algorithm underlying all approaches — an idea that aged interestingly given where deep learning went after the book's publication.”Sam Altman
Kai-Fu Lee · 2018
The Chinese platform ecosystem Alibaba competes inside.
Brian Christian · 2020
The technical safety agenda OpenAI claims to serve.
“Brian Christian's account of the state of AI alignment research is one Altman has flagged as the best current-state overview for a general audience. It covers the difficulty of specifying what we want AI to do in a way that makes the problem legible without reducing it.”Sam Altman

Gary Rivlin · 2025
The founder scene around OpenAI, reported from inside the funding rounds.
Ethan Mollick
Mollick is a Wharton professor who studies AI adoption and writes with unusual clarity about working alongside LLMs across knowledge domains. The framing — that effective AI collaboration requires treating the model as a co-worker with specific strengths and specific blind spots — is the most practically useful frame available for day-to-day coding with AI.
Tom Chivers · 2019
The rationalist milieu behind OpenAI's founders and its board fight.
