Vanguard's own Bogle archive at vanguard.com/bogle_site is dead. The surviving archive is The Bogle Archive at the John C. Bogle Center for Financial Literacy, boglecenter.net/bogle-archive/, which holds the full run of his speeches (1964-2017), his academic papers, and his op-eds and letters to the editor as individual PDFs at boglecenter.net/wp-content/uploads/. Bogle wrote no shareholder letters of his own: Vanguard's funds file shareholder reports rather than a chairman's letter, and those are on SEC EDGAR under each fund. The Wellington Fund memos of 1972 and 1978 and the 1981 index-fund memo are the closest thing to internal chairman's letters and are included. His original papers are held by Princeton University Library.
